| My favorite place on earth is the Capitol building in Columbia, South Carolina.
Dave, Djay, Julie, Mckenzie and I all went there just to hang out, and before we even got there God brought us this guy named Curry. Curry asked us to buy him a drink, and we told him that we couldn't, but he didnt just move on and ask someone else, he just started to talk to us. He followed us to the capitol where we sat on the steps and just talked for a couple hours. Curry told us all about his life and his beliefs, he told us about how knowlege is everything and you have to experience everything to know it for real. We tried to tell him our beliefs and he listened to some of it, but not really. He has read the Bible, hes read the Koran, the Torah, so he has already made up his mind about alot of things, so he was not very keen to listen. We told Curry we would meet him tommorow at 1:30 at the library and talk with him again. I cannot wait.

| Yesterday was a pretty good day. I went to a church called Christian Fellowship Assembly, and it was alright, but i found it very distracting, because its one of those churches where people shout stuff out while the pastor is preaching, and i just couldnt handle it. After I got back from Ci Cis i ended up playing Xbox with Wes for most of the day. We played in memorial basement for a while and then we played in the student center on the big screen which was amazing. I decided that FIFA Soccer 2005 is my new favorite game. Its soooooo intense. When i finally got back to my dorm around 1:00 this morning, i got on my computer and since today is labor day, Monica didnt have school so she was on the computer. So i enjoyed chatting with her for about an hour. Today I've got alot of work to do. Ive gotta finish Peace Child and write a paper for english, and study for Old Testament. Its going to be great. Its 11:30 now, lunch starts at 12, and i just got up, so im gonna shower and chill till lunch then after lunch i gotta hit the books hard.

| Well I just started an all new xanga account. I was hanging out with a couple girls who use it, so i thought about it and went back to look at mine. I hadnt posted since september of 2005 which was a full year ago. I was gonna just keep going from that one, but i realized that ive grown an incredible amount since then, and it would just be wierd to start from there, so i scrapped it and started afresh. CIU is incredible. Ive spent a few weeks here now, and I am just so encouraged to be here. Everyone here is in love with the Lord, and pretty much everyone here wants to serve the Lord in full time ministry. Its so amazing to be around all of these people where I can learn, and make mistakes in a safe place surrounded by my brothers and sisters who are here to help me up when i stumble. I just pray that I dont end up forgetting what the world is like. I dont want this Utopia to become how i see the whole world. Classes are pretty cool. I got the basics like Western Civ, English and Old Testament, but my favorite is Intro to World Christian Movement, which is basically like Missions 101. Its awesome because we get to learn about what the Lord is doing in other countries, and what the Lord has done throughout the world between when the Bible was written and today. Im excited about that class. Ive met some pretty sweet people here. Ive got one friend that ive quickly gotten pretty close with named Dave. Hes an awesome guy, and i think he can teach me alot. He is here on a full ride scholarship so he needs to keep a 3.5 GPA, and the guy can do homework like no other, so i think he can definitly help me to develop a better work ethic, and hes also pretty stylish, so he can probably help me with that too. Ive also got a stud of a Turkish friend named Oskgur, pronounced Us-Gewr, and an awesome guy from St. Louis with me by the name of DJay. I found out during the first week that he and I are cousins, sort of. Our parents were talking, and we discovered that we have the same great great grandma. Isnt that wierd? Our parents were just talking over dinner and figured that out. There are alot of great girls here too, but im not going into that on xanga. I'll just say that the number of women who love the Lord and want to go into Missions is pretty darn good. I dont miss home as much as I feared i would. Mostly i miss 8-ball (monicas dog that i call my own) and toasted ravioli. i guess i miss my friends and family too. Well I gotta go to bed cuz its 1:30, and i gotta wake up for my fantasy football draft tommorow. hopefully i keep up with this thing regularly, so i can let you see how my life at CIU is going
